Too Fast Too Furious
Everyone who loved Fast and the Furious were waiting in line to see Too Fast Too Furious when it first hit the theatres. They all went in with smiling faces in great anticipation for the film they had been waiting for. Two hours later, everyone came out without their smiles, wondering what the excitement had been about.
Without a doubt, the casting of Too Fast Too Furious really had an impact on the movie and the audience response. Unfortunately, with many great movies, the creators get greedy. They feel like since they had such great success with the first movie that they can make a few more dollars with a sequel. However, most of the time the art is lost and the sequel cannot even begin to compare to the first film. This is what happened in Too Fast Too Furious.
Sure, the story was pretty good and slightly exciting, but the main actors that everyone loved were not present. They did bring back Paul Walker, which may have been the only wise thing they did. Although Walker was the main character and the story follows him, the other characters from Fast and the Furious were too important to the success to leave out. They likely wanted nothing to do with the sequel and were likely glad they didn’t participate. However, big stars like Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez were missed greatly. The big excitement and drama just wasn’t there like you wanted it to be while watching the film. |
