King Kong (The Remake)
With all of the excitement surrounding King Kong, it should have rocked. In fact, there were people waiting in line for hours to be sure they got tickets to the first showing. There were huge marketing campaigns involved and merchandise everywhere. The bad news was that King Kong didn’t deliver the greatness everyone expected. There were a lot of things that were good about the movie, but the bad parts made it quite boring overall. So, because of the bad aspects, King Kong has been listed as one of the most boring movies of all time.
The casting in King Kong was quite good. The story started out exciting and captivating. For the first thirty minutes of the movie, the audience was still excited about King Kong and the story line was developing quite well. However, late into the first hour of the movie, things change. The story line started sagging and was depending too much on the action. However the action itself was quite boring. How long can you watch King Kong carry Naomi Watts in his huge hand?
The whole love story aspect of King Kong was also not as romantic as it might have been in earlier versions. It was simply not believable, which created boredom in the movie. Lastly, the movie just dragged on and on. It seemed as if it were never going to end. Those seeing it in the theatre were fidgeting in their seats, anticipating the end of the film. Those at home were checking their clocks in disbelief. |
