Movies Are Boring
How many times have you been to the movies? Probably thousands, if you are like most of the modern world. The truth is that movies draw people in because everyone wants to be in the loop. No one wants someone else to have seen something they haven’t. So everyone rushes to see the latest films because they don’t want to miss out. Much like young children or teens who refuse to go to sleep because they are afraid they will miss something, movies have the same type of impact on the world and society as a whole.
However, when you think about it, movies are boring. You shell out far too much money for a ticket and snacks and sit in uncomfortable chairs to view something that may or may not be entertaining at all. The whole process is somewhat strange in fact. However, millions of people do it each day! It makes you wonder why people want to partake in this type of behavior over and over again.
One reason not to watch movies is because you can find something much more exciting to do with your time. Sitting in the dark to watch a movie is not the most exciting thing you could find to do. In fact, almost anything else would be more exciting, except for sleeping of course. You could plan an outdoor activity if the weather is nice. Or you could even try ice skating or a comedy club if the weather is not so nice. |
